Hey Guys, Wondering if you can help me out here, A friend of mine made a sculpture out of plaster for a school project , and it came out better than expected so he wanted to make a few molds to paint it different styles. Any idea what kind of product he can use on plaster that won't destroy it or cause shrinkage? Any info would be great. thanks.

If its a one of a kind plaster sculpture, you definately don't want anything to happen to the master. I would cover the sculpture in cooking spray such as Pam, then make an alginate mold. I would then make a second plaster part, clean it up as needed, seal it with s good sealer then make your urethane or silicone mold. Good luck!
