My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival : The Godfather

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - (More) Babylon 5 - Mods

Wow. Killer.
The G'Kar paint job is incredible.

Thanks Andrew. I'm just happy that the one-haired brush didn't decide to take on a life of its own while painting :lol

Here are the two pics above split up.

That Shadow vessel is just AMAZING!! I cannot believe that the patterns lined up like that. With all the twists and turns I would have put money on it never working out. Very nice and good to see a little B5 love around here of late. I may just have to break out the DVDs for my next marathon sewing session. Great Work!

Thank you :) !

I too was astonished that they all lined up perfectly ! It's a very well designed pepakura model.

Having an SG-1 gate from Legends, I'd been wanting to finish putting this Atlantis set together for a number of years now, in order to complete the gate itself.

However, while I got 2 out of the 3 remaining that I needed, I have always been held back due to one of the figures costing way more than the rest, and so was always missing a part of the gate that came with it :(.

I finally got my hands on a reasonably-priced one, and the gate is now complete :D

And here is the Stargate Atlantis Gate, finally complete. Well worth the wait I think. I love it :)

WOW!! :eek That ripple effect is so beautiful! And the grin is priceless, but I didn't remember McKay rocking the tablet and wielding the pistol at the same time. :lol

And you've done it, you've started on the figures. You're doomed. :lol

The ripple effect is really well designed :cool

I swear I have no more figures ordered, on the way, or in storage :lol

Sheppard with the lemon...priceless!!!

Priceless, and classic :lol:thumbsup

And that Kevin, tablet or no tablet, is why Mckay is wielding his pistol :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Indiana Jones

2 years and 2 months full of anticipation down the line, here is Markpoon's last Indiana Jones coin, the Last crusade one, thus completing the set :)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrival - Indiana Jones

Hard to belive it has been that long, doesn't seem like it. I'll be glad to finish the set too, tired everyone that sees it saying "hey, you're missing one.". Durr

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Star Trek

Picked up a few more Klingon Medals / Awards for the collection :D

( Maybe John ( TheMadGasser ) could chime in and fill in the blanks with some of the names for them from the fan circles, as I was unable to trace them)

First up, the Disruptor Proficiency Medal (?)

The (I have no idea but with the Sword of Kahless it looks so cool :lol) Medal / Award

And from the Cloak as worn by General Korrd in Star Trek V - The Final Frontier, by Chancellor K'mpec in TNG (both of these characters played by the same actor, Charles Cooper), then by Chancellor Gowron and briefly on screen by Martok, these two.

The Starfire Medal

And the (no idea of its name :()

I got the above 4 Medals / Awards in a very basic painted state, but I then gave them a paint job, wash etc :)

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Star Trek

Those dirty Klingons just LOVE to give themselves medals! :lol

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Star Trek

Cool! Those remind me of certain real militaries where it looks like they must get medals for tying their shoes or spelling their names because they are down both sides of their uniforms.

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Star Trek

Those medals are great, nice work on the new paint job Alan! :cool:thumbsup
Ironically I just watched "Rightful Heir" last night, but more on that in another thread...;)

Edit: May the 4th be with you.

Re: My Prop Replica Collection - New Arrivals - Star Trek

Sure! I would be glad to help out.

medalsraw-409x600.jpg

It looks like you pretty much got the names for these four pins. Of course, let me add again, these are fan names and not official.

Starting from the top moving from left to right:
This pin had been labeled as "the House of Kahless" (as seen by the similar patch sold on eBay). But I don't think it was intended to be a representation of the House of Kahless, but an award made for a club. The pin next to it is actually two pins that have been joined together. The top pin is similar to a metal pin that QVC once sold (I have a few copies of it in my collection). I have seen the top pin called "Kinshaya Wars Service Badge" and "Cardassia Occupation", but it was the QVC version (which has lettering on it). I doubt it was "Cardassia Occupation" as they weren't major players in the Trek universe when the pin was created. The hanging star burst pin has no name that I am aware of.

Bottom row, moving from left to right:
This pin has a few names besides the "Starfire Medal" as well. "Dominion War Victory Medal" is one, but again the Klingon Empire didn't go into war with the dominion until after this pin was worn in ST5. The name I have seen often used for it was "ChopjIH", which translates to "bite me". The pin next to it is exactly what you named it, it's the "Disruptor Qualification Badge".

These pins look really nice, are they from Rob? I'm looking to score the ChopjIH pin for my collection. Oh and if you are looking for a more screen accurate chain for your Star of Kahless, here's a link to the actual prop. The chain type you are looking for is a Wheat chain. I'm not sure of the exact thickness, but I found a seller on eBay who had one suitable, but I had to buy two to make sure it hung low enough. Let me know either here or privately who you got those pins from. You display looks great!
