I've been playing FarCry3 and the engine is just AMAZING! All the trees and bushes move/sway back and forth, there are sun (lens) flares, cast shadows, filtered light, bugs, rain, mist, water reflections, etc... AMAZING! 30-40 hours just seems way too long to render with todays technology
Indeed. Thats why i suggested Cryengine for preview reasons. Im possitive it can support high poly counts if the geometry is clean.
Same method goes for this project that they rendered many high end areas on indigo and they import the meshes in Cryengine 3.

Those new renders in DB 94 are awesome! Love the way the light reflects off the canopy windows giving us just a hint of the cockpit. :)

Hey Shaunsheep, have you been there lately? I update it at least once a week.

here are some more renders, as promised.

These are the view of the docking bay from inside the cockpit

Hey Sofaking,

You know once you get the cockpit done, you're going to need to have somthing to view out the windows... I got plans for a FS Docking Bay 94, how about it? heh.

Shaunsheep,

you mean panning over to see more of where Vader and Kenobi were dueling? Sure thing.
