Here's a little trivia. There is more than one version of Jayne's Fighting Elves shirt. The Fighting Elves shirt that Jayne wears in Out of Gas has an additional white spot between the last two Chinese characters...
...and at the beginning of War Stories...
...but the one he wears planetside during War Stories and at the end of Safe does not.
The white dot does not appear in Safe either and this version doesn't have the white dots behind the third Chinese character.
There is also a scene where you can see the iron on transfer peeling away from the shirt.

To be an exact replica, it would have to come from the original files, and this doesn't. It would have to be an iron-on, but I'm guessing this is screen printed.

I've been thinking of doing a few Jayne shirts, I've got all the screen printing supplies ready to go, I just need to find the time. Soldier is one of the first I want to do, I already have the base shirt, a Canvas brand brown/heather brown ringer. (Everybody that's ever made one put it on the black/heather grey, but that isn't correct) I also want to make the water shirt really badly. Troublemaker is my most wanted, but it's something like an 8 color print, and I don't think I can make that happen in quantity.
Isn't Troublemaker one of the few that's available from QMX? Or is their shirt quality/accuracy not satisfactory?
I'd definitely like to see some Jayne shirts. I was late on firefly but have come to acquire some props here and there, most Jayne related. His shirts being something I've always wanted, in particular the "Solider" and the "smoking girl."

Yep when he and I did them they were on brown heather ringers.
Still have the artwork.
I think the only pic I have is from when planning the run, my shirt was worn out years ago.

My pic at the top of the previous page is of one of mine.
I wash my Firefly shirts inside-out and then hang them up to dry so they last longer.
