Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

that was a funny teaser!
Bautista is hilarious with his deadpan delivery!

Anyone know what the long sleeve top Starlord is wearing says on it?
It says they filmed this in 8k.

Yeah, anyone able to translate the shirt?

Looks Greek, maybe Russian, possibly Korean.

It has to be some gibberish alien language. Quill hasn't been to Earth since he was a kid.

James Gunn has told in the past that though Quill hasn't returned to Earth, there could be instances where the Ravagers and Yondu have visited Earth again and bought additional items. So the t-shirt could be alien made but there is still possibility of other items from Earth making an appearance.

It's none of those. Some of the letters look a bit Japanese, but I suspect it's "alien".

Well there is certainly at the very least a Greek basis for this language. I've identified some of the characters here:

Not sure about the "vi/ni".

As for the main text, there is also the "B" or "vita" and the "A" "alpha".

It's certainly in the style of that Asian pop typography. Here is a bag of Korean candies, very similar look:

but there is no denying the Greek influence, especially in the smaller copy. It looks like a mix of different cultures. An alien language makes the most sense. Probably advertising a Xandarian soda pop or something silly like that.

I hope so. It reminds me of Jayne's shirts from "Serenity".
There were quite a few Firefly references in the first film, so it wouldn't surprise me if this shirt is a nod to Jayne.
There were Firefly references in GotG??!!!!??!!!!!!

(I wouldn't count the Nathan Fillion cameo because he's a James Gun regular)

The whole movie had a Firefly feel to it.
The bunch of losers doing the best they can with what they've got.
The "friends are our chosen family" motif.
Goofy shenanigans amidst some really heavy stuff going down.
Star Lord's duster.
The scene where Drax explodes Nebula for calling Gamora a *****, after Drax himself just called her one.
Am I the only one who got a Firefly vibe from Guardians?
