Got two of these cool figures and thought they screamed for some scratchbuilding and customizing. I made this one into Rex and the other will be Cody.

Wow that looks great! My only suggestion would be if you could put a gloss coat on the visor. Just a minor thing, though, it looks FANTASTIC!
 
Nice! Paint job looks great! What did you use to make the Kama? I'd bought some tight weave fabric for mine, but yours scales very well.
I was converting a black series red trimmed CT, but I forgot to prime before spraying it with tamiya lacquer. Now his armor is kinda sticky.

I used painters masking tape that after painting acquires a look close to well used leather. Thanks for the props!
 
Hah! Clever idea. I suppose that made adding the blue edging a bit easier, eh? I assume you used the same technique for the pauldron?

Same technique for the cauldron. Even when the tape is blue, I added the border and paint it blue, a shade more compatible with Rex colors.
