I was bored and talked mom into taking some new pics of the suit. I've done so many repairs to this thing over the last 6 months (especially the boots) that I feel like it's part of me :p

So....

I´ve decided to give my 2 cents too.

This one was made in 1998, and this picture was taken in about August or September, 1998, BUT here I was, in the middle of a shopping mall, me and my Batsuit.... 100% hand-made from scratch.

:)

well now i can post mine... i just got it and it still needs to be mounted on a undersuit... this is what i got
full panther suit:
cowl
torso
cod
knees
legs
latex cape
belt
calf armor and elbem..... from janty chattaw.... i won it on ebay...

I hope to make a 1940s style utility belt using cigar tubes but I don't smoke and can't find the tubes yet.
I have the basic design figured for the costume and am putting it together slowly so hopefully it will be done by Halloween with my young son as Robin.
If I get it done I'll post photos.

test try, the suit is not glued down yet . i am waiting on the under suit to come in..... but you get the idea:)

My costume didn't come out as I planned but my son and I were also (1940s) Batman and (modern day) Robin.
I'm having problems with Imageshack but the pictures can be found on Myspace: http://www.myspace.com/wolfmysteries

I bought rubber boots that I needed to paint. The navy blue paint I sprayed on them cracked and peeled when I tried them on. I asked the people at Michael's Crafts for a paint to use on rubber. A "dark blue shiny" is one I finally wound up with. It was too light and also cracked. The lady at the store then recommened the original paint I had used.:angry

What spray paint would you all recommend for rubber boots?
Thanks.

I think the thing I love about that batman deadend suit is that it relies on the wearer having a good physique underneath. it emphasises the physicality of bats. whereas the others are moulded armour, which is fine, but of course, makes a different impression.

needs a little work, but here it is.

I'll be getting a different cowl and boots, take in the bodysuit some and add stirups to the feet so the legs don't bunch up like you see in the pic.
I also need to get into better shape.
