Wow, looking at the original, MR did a great job with the paint. I assumed the pattern was much more rough and smudged.

Looks like the upswept bit at the end is pretty short?
i see that set screw above the clamp. I may add my own glued in piece for decor

There was talk earlier of there maybe being two set screws above the clamp. I think there's maybe one myself (the Hero/Reveal has similar hole in the grip above the clamp, being based on the the stunt sabers) and I pointed it out on this pic here:
But after looking at this pic:
What I circled was right above the "L" in Graflex and its now gone, so it was just paint after all.
If there is even a set screw, is this the one people are seeing too and, if there is another one, where would it be because I can't see it.

Hasn't the clamp rotated between those two pics? Are we looking at the same spot?
I wouldn't think so, all the pictures of it at SWCA show it in the same spot; the clamp card in-between the d-ring and the cube to the right of it (with the set screw in pommel).
I kinda don't think there's any upsweep, and what you're seeing there is the start of the rounded end on the lever.
It appears you've drawn the line over the F on the left, and the L on the right image. Pattern in the paint matches if you move the line in the left image to the right (essentially it would run along the edge of the glare on the clamp), and even then there appears to be no hole
Had to quintuple check; I'm pretty sure there's no hole in the thing, now.
If you look at this photo, where the "F'' is, there's no hole. Pretty sure that the 3 of us who may have thought there to be a screw there can put that idea to bed.:lol
