Trove of new TFA blasters and props revealed by WIRED!

Nice to get some good shots of the things we love. Shame we can't have more of this with regards to the original trilogy items, to be able to uncover some of the mysteys around some of them.

Looks like the First Order Stormtrooper sidearm (Sonn-Blas SE-44C) is built on top of a Glock! Wasn't expecting to see those in Star Wars tbh...

Seems to have a (toy?) AR type front sight mounted on top too. I also notice the EL-16 seems to use a HK-91 (or some derivative) Navy lower. Blaster rifle #39 uses an AK crutch sidefolder stock. "Dasha Promenti's blaster" seems to literally be a modified blunderbuss barrel, complete with integral ramrod.

I find it interesting that they included that one OT style X-wing helmet, but I'm not clear if they mean it was actually used in the OT or if that's one they made for TFA. I don't seem to recall it.

What's up with the nomenclature regarding the "Trandoshan Doubler on a target pistol/Trandoshan Tripler on a Sorosuub blaster ..." That's terminology I'm not familiar with. Are they Trandoshan aftermarket mods or something?

1896 Bergmann pistol parts getting some love, along with some PPSH muzzle cages. I suspect somebody in the prop shop was kit bashing airsoft guns like crazy.

What's with the classic X-Wing helmet? I like the new X-Wing helmet that has a paint scheme similar to Biggs. It would make sense that some pilots would pay homage to dead or veteran pilots.

I really love the amount of diversity in all these new props. It seems to also be a nice hybrid of OT parts with new parts. If I wasn't knee deep in projects there are a few blasters I would love to try my hand at making!

This one seems to hearken back to the Aliens Pulse Rifle:

LOVE the bone handle on this one! I also like how simple and effective it looks.

Digging the resemblance to the Rebel Trooper Blasters:

Looks like a pirate gun with a primitive bayonet:

But I think this is my absolute favorite that I've seen yet. It reminds me of a hybrid between a traditional E-11 with Boba Fett's ESB rifle with the barrel chopped off, perhaps with a lightsaber!
