In the first picture the weapons look like M16 derivatives with red dot and acog sites.

Agreed, but based on what I've seen so far I suspect we will be disappointed.
It's a shame really. Squandered opportunity.
On the other end of the spectrum, I love what the guys at WETA did with the aesthetics of SPECTRAL. This movie was chock full of gear and weapons pr0n!

It's a Netflix exclusive. As far as scifi goes it's decent. high in production value and eye candy, acting is so-so. It has a bit of an Aliens vibe in some scenes, but it's definitely it's own thing. Apparently written by one of our very own, member mercureyx. :thumbsup
