It has been a decade of ups and down but building props has always been a great source of joy to me for over 20 years. I aint gonna lie, this post contains little props but hopefully the management will leave it up here for a couple days before kicking it down to the basement (off topic). I have made some great friends here but haven/t meet nearly enough prop minded people in my travels....and that is a down right dirty shame. This is a week in the life of a propbuilder and his RPF shirt. I will visit 2 continents, three countries and many bars. Lord willing, let the Dremel tool sing!!!

Sunday, drive through filming locations of M.A.S.H. (Mulholland Highway) in my Miami Vice Testarossa.

We joined a few other exotic drivers for a quick jaunt in the Santa Monica Mountains. This was the back drop for MASH and countless other movie filming locations.

Wife and I in my Miami Vice Replica. Yes its not a 1986...its a 1990, but I can live with that. We did a good job keeping up with a Lexus LFA in our group. Not a bad effort considering the $350K price tag difference.

Finished the day with some Ceegars and vino. RPF shirt still holding its own.

Day two: NYC here we come! Fired up the 'RPF Pan America Jet of Good Will' and headed for the Big Apple. Flight Level 410 over the Grand Canyon. Not a bump and visibility unrestricted.

I have a couple favorites in Manhattan. Time Square is one of them...call me a tourist:lol:lol Hopefully this panoramic pic posts well.

Jekell and Hydes is another favorite. Its like a Disneyland bar, singing shrunken heads....and yes those are skeletons in the glass cases behind me. Stink level of the RPF shirt......nominal.

Day three. The RPF limo shows up on time to whisk us off to our next destination.....Panama. The country, not Florida. 5.7 hours later, the RPF jet lands in Panama and its time to have a beverage....or two. No time to do the Canal tour, more pressing matters to attend to. Art fronted me $$$ to blow in the casino, more on that later.

Day 4. Due to budget constraints, we had to leave in the middle of the night. This is what a major international airport looks like at 2AM.

Next stop RIO baby!!! Scroll in for our route of flight. Lots of jungle between Panama and Rio. No worries, I watch Survivor Man and have my smelly shirt with me.

Sun came up after a few hours........Thats the Amazon river folks....and the dark blue above is space n' stuff. Freaking thunderstorms were up to 41K feet. No problem, the RPF jet climbed to 45K feet.....we laugh at thunderstorms. Gotta say, for about 3 hours there was nothing but a river and jungle below us. Makes driving across Texas look like kids stuff. Predator anyone?

Landed in Rio, quick change into civilian clothes and out for dinner. Ran into Obama, he was all cool and the gang. Says he is working on a MKIII IronMan foam build for Halloween. Who Knew?

Found a girlfriend.....she is like a Mojito without the mint. Evil, pure evil. Stink level on RPF Uniform was off the chart so I gave her the night off after a bath in the bathroom sink. I could have made soup with that sink water.

Day 5. Whats RIO without one of the most international recognized backgrounds? Bodyguards picked us up and off we went to an amazing sculpt. It was foggy as heck but I got some good pics. The RPF uniform was stiff as a board from drip drying on a hangar but the rest of the crew appreciated the 'Ivory fresh' scent. Raul was a lightweight but kept the unwashed masses away for a few good pics.

Another one without the clown.

At night..................Ok took a picture of a post card. Pro tip, take a pic of a post card......let the professional do his job, you take the credit.:thumbsup

Got back to the hotel, S.S.S.S. and headed out for more festivities. This is Copacabana outside the RPF beach headquarters (Marriott) In Rio.

Got the itch to create and whipped out a sand sculpture. Sometimes you just have to work with what materials are with you.

Absolutely dead tired. Notice the light up ***** statue for scale reference. I think I found my new dashboard trinket. Nothing is too accurate for the RPF. I blame my baby......damn coconut drink.

Gotta get some sleep now. Day six is done, day seven will bring some more adventures, thus bring the end to a week of RPF goodness.

I hope you all enjoyed my 1000'th post. I sure have enjoyed being part of the most amazing community on the internet

Cheers,

Christian

Christian,
You are one of the funnest RPF'ers to hang out with. I always look forward to your late night texts about certain Celebs you meet or places you are at getting trashed. You're one of the good ones. Congrats my friend!

What a great way to celebrate the 1000th post! Way to go, Christian!

Don't be fooled. I would say that most everyone here works hard for a living. Christian can answer for himself but I do know that his life is one to be admired. :)

Whew, just landed. More pics from today (my 7th and last day of the week). The RPF uniform is down and out. A stranger gave me $5 bucks and some coffee on the boardwalk last night. Had to wrap that stink bomb in a plastic bag. Tying up some loose ends then close out the week in style. Might be a day or two before I get pics up, mañana is much busy.

Rocko........Brad is pulling your leg. I'm the RPF janitor, plane and simple:)
