Sorry for the big first post. :)

wasn't the ertl darth vader tie-fighter stand/mount used for the radar dish?
Holy cow guys!! if you are going to buy all these kits and a few more+the deagostini Millennium falcon,..it's going to be a really expensive model.
If i were you then i would scratch built the damn thing.
suggestion,..meassure the deagostini falcon, make your own blueprints scratch built the hull and sell the deagostini with a proffit.

Regarding the Ertl DV TIE stand being used as the radar dish, no, it wasn't. The part most widely considered used is the Plastruct VHD-300 clear acrylic dished dome and NOT the VHE-300 elliptical dome mentioned in post #7 because the shape of it is wrong. I have the VHD-300 and is virtually spot-on for shape.

The Plastruct VHD-300 clear acrylic dome maybe relatively exact in shape an proportions, but it is incredibly thick. From the onedrive pics of the original model radar from all angles show the dish is very thin. So regardless of proportion, the Plastruct VHD-300 clear acrylic dome does not add up.

At least I have figured out what kits [Which were already used on the falcon] which were used to build the whole radar base to 100% proportions and shape and measurement. [Matilda turret rim x2 cut in half and put together makes the slanted edge/ Wirblewind turret neck ring x1 as man base/ and Panzerkapfwagon IV turret neck ring as the top ring.] with a bit of styrene as the inside floor and some inside rim.] And they all marry up perfectly with very little trimming. The Onedrive pics of the original falcon radar base show the join seems which also match the part build I mentioned.

Would like to see this when you finish making it...
