Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Post-release)

The Visual Dictionary shows this cut scene:

Snowtroopers on the Falcon

This scene you'd have found not long after the point at which the Millennium Falcon does its dive unto the Starkiller Base planet - as you'll have seen in the later trailers.

Yeah there was a rumor I posted in the Spoiler Thread that there was a sequence where Kylo and the troops find the Falcon and Kylo has a sad alone moment in the cockpit.

Correct me if I am wrong, but is that our first ever look at the falcons ceiling?

Its in the film too.....as Rey & Finn look up at Chewie & Han looking down on them in the pit

Ren sounds like a dead ringer for Javier Bardem in "No country for old men" whenever he speaks.
mask on or off.

I enjoyed the movie...lots to take in ...must see at least once more.

The only disappointment for me was the music. The main theme had no "energy"
and the over all score had nothing for me to remember after ward like all the other sw movies.

I kept asking myself if the lack of a 20th century fox fanfare was part of that
as I watched the crawl and was like...ok this is the movie right?

I think that the only good musical part is at the end: the "Jedi Steps" track. Before that, it was uneven and bland.

I would love to see the Lucas treatment for the sequels
I would also like to see it: The synopsis that he did, in text form.

I thought at first that I would also have liked to see Michael Arndt's early script work, if he had anything done before Abrams got involved.

ANH spent time on the trip for story purposes. We got to see Luke
training and learned about the Force, and learned a bit about Han and Chewy. There was also time needed for the destruction of Alderaan.

TFA didn't have any story points to make at the end so no time was spent showing a lengthy trip. But they could have spent a week in hyperspace for all we know.

The whole speech about the force and Luke being real while they look at BB8's map was during a hyperspace jump as well.

Also I wonder if Finn being in sanitation while being a good laugh was not a little nod to clerks as well they often talked about unseen workers on the death star ?
And it also seems the star killer base was most likely a old empire project the first order took over and completed as it had whole forests of full grown trees that takes 50 years on earth to accomplish !

The Critics' Choice Awards had already chosen its top 10 nominations for 2015's best picture, but a membership outcry led to The Force Awakens being added as a rare 11th pick for the Jan. 17 program. Force Awakens also earned a spot on the American Film Institute's prestigious top movie list for 2015.

"The Force Awakens has instantly become a serious awards player, massive. It's the most fascinating Oscar wild-card," says Tom O'Neil, editor of the awards website Goldderby.com. "It could come up with the most nominations of any film, including best picture. And there's a chance it could win, if the Oscar force is with this movie."

What's pushing TFA now as best picture is it being a Disney production, since so many Academy voters are connected to that Hollywood behemoth. TFA will pull many tech nominations like VFX, sound design, sound editing, production design and such and may win them due to it being a box office smash. The biggest sci-fi genre competition is Mad Max: Fury Road, and I think it will be awarded more than TFA due to its excellence. Can't see any acting noms...even Adam Driver in a supporting category would be a stretch. Hollywood always acknowledges a big hit, so a best picture (production category) nomination for TFA is very possible.

You just can't get over the fact most like it can you. Ben
If you can't dispute what I've been posting, and can only try in vain to troll-up a personal flame war, all I can say is, "Move along, move along."

So just saw the movie for the second time and the questions are arising:

1. How does Leia and Rey know one another? Chewie walks right by her and makes no acknowledgement of Han's death.
2. Is Snokes a hologram or a projection of a spirit? When he disappears he fades out rather than blinks out from past holograms. Also his signal seems to be very strong if he is a hologram meaning he may be nearby.
3. How can Rey summon up The Force when she has someone bearing down on her with a lightsaber and be able to suddenly be able to counterattack with as much strength as Kylo who has been using The Force far longer.

Ok then. Critic and audience ratings at probably the most popular of all review sites. I'd say 94% and 91% is most according to my calculations. Can't deny hard facts.

Re-quote anything I have posted to date which disputed TFA was a massive hit with audiences and critics. Can't.

You were nipping at my heels two days ago with, "I don't value your opinion because as I said some people are just JJ Star Trek haters and will hate on anything he does." Take your own advice and stop valuing my opinions, FFS. Addressing your accusations and claims about me online is like some twisted fanboy hazing ritual. <STAY-PLONKED>

Whatever man. All I was getting at was the fact it's getting nominated is because 1)it's doing extremely well at the box office.2)it's getting critically acclaimed by most and 3)It's being audience acclaimed by most. If that doesn't warrent a nomination I don't know what does. Not because it's A Disney conspiracy <YOUR PLONKED>
