according to 'The Painting of Hogwarts' from the Harry Potter Page to Screen collectors edition, this painting is "the finished portrait of Albus Dumbledore (Richard Harris), based on one of the shots from his photo session. Because Dumbledore was the presiding headmaster at the point in the story when the portrait is seen, he is not sleeping."

Hey! That is awesome!!!! Any more pics or scans from that book? I'm obsessed with the Hogwarts paintings and can't afford to get the whole collection just for that one book. Feel free to PM me!

any one have any idea as to what fonts they are. Im run them though whats my font and it didn't come up with anything close

Those are very cool. Where did you find them? My guess is that if they are from something official, the font was developed by whomever created the piece and would not be commercially available. The more yellow letter does not look like anything I've seen, but the other one does remind me of something. If I get a chance, I'll do some looking too and see if we can figure it out.

they are from the philosopher's stone movie. hermione gets letters if you remember. one from emily and one from her mom and dad.

They look hand written to me, not a font.

I attached a quick cleanup of the letter from Emily. The envelope looks to be about 4" x 6" so I sized the writing sheet to fit inside it.

This look to me like round metalic silver stickers or seals folded over the paper. Something like this perhaps : Large Silver Round Sticker Seals Embossed Metallic Foil Stickers 50 Pieces | eBay

Here's the cleaned up version of the envelope and letter to Hermione from her parents.

This envelope is larger than the one from Emily (in fact this envelope appears to be the same one that the Hogwarts letter comes in) but the letter itself is the same size as Emily's letter.

Have to say that the handwriting in this letter is the second worst handwriting I have ever seen...:lol
