Supernatural Props.What Ya Got... 4 Years 2010-2014

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Welcome to the forum and to Supernatural prop replica collecting.

For the flask, you can contact the flask company directly to have them make and send you a flask, with no minimum order. It comes out to about $80, after shipping, from England. Somewhere around the main flask conversations in this thread are the company website and model info.

hmm I just went back and searched through tooons of posts and couldn't find the company website/model info. Tenaciousbt was selling a few of Bobby's flasks but he never gave up his source I don't think :p

... and the 3 button duffle is finally in its right spot: The boot (trunk) of an Impala.

Also, thought I'd add, for those of you that have, or can only find, the 5 button version, fear not; They actually do use both bags in the show. It was first mentioned and shown in this post here, by ARES GW. Here is a cropped version of that image...

If you go back and look at Rick's pictures in that above link, you'll notice the size difference, particularly in relation to the straps, and how far away they are from the end of the bag (or at least, where the main piece is sewn to the end piece). The straps on the 3 button duffle are only about 2 1/2 inches from the end, whereas the 5 button button straps are at least 5 inches from the end.

Here you will see in a recent season 9 episode (Captives), the brothers actually use both bags at the same time. You'll see Sam carrying the 3 button (shorter bag), and Dean carrying the longer 5 button bag:

Note how far the straps are from the end of the bag? That's the 5 button version.

So if you have the 5 button, you don't have the wrong bag - you simply have one of 2. :cool

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

That's an expensive tool bag brother!!! ;)

Indeed it is, but that's how I'll get my satisfaction from it. Spent a pretty penny on it, so I'm going to put it to work and get every dollars worth out of it.

Use it or lose it!

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Nice, I've got 3 or 4 of the 5-button ones, cool to know that they were actually used on the show as well.

That first image is from season one, so it's been used since the beginning too. I am currently rewatching season 8, and Martin uses the larger one when he and Sam go after Benny.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Does anyone know what they keep in the senator tin?

I have a couple pics you can go by. Dean swapping out the original guy's picture for his own is the only change.
If you want an actual list of the stuff I believe the contents are a picture of the person making the deal, black cat's bones, graveyard dirt (in the bottle), coins, and a bundle of yarrow flowers (dead in the picture).

When/where do they use it? Pics?

It shows up in 2.08 - Crossroad Blues. They dig it up early in the episode and then later Dean swaps out pictures and reburies it. It shows up again in 2.22 - All Hell Breaks Loose (Part 2). It is sitting in the trunk and Dean is seen taking a black cat's skull from it to put into his oriental mixture tin.

Thanks for the pics. For some reason I thought that was the oriental tin but now I see by the dimensions you're right. What's in the oriental tin?

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

They also keep a senator tin in the trunk. When Dean is getting the oriental tin ready he pulls a black cat's skull from the senator tin. They may use it just to house black cat bones. Basically, it's the exact same stuff seen in the other tin: picture, black cat's bone (in this case a skull), bottled graveyard dirt, coins, and a bundle of yarrow flowers. Dean uses his US Wildlife Service ID for the picture. RPFKOV put out that ID for free for this particular use, quoted below. You can hit the >> next to "RPFKOV said" to view the actual post and get the .pdf download.

I made this for my own crossroads box (work in progress) if it is helpful to anyone. The photo is blurred a bit as this more closely resembles the on screen prop ID.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

The first picture is 4 screencaps that show the coins, bottled dirt, yarrow (left hand) and black cat skull (right hand; unseen), and id for the oriental tin. The 2nd shows Dean removing the skull from the senator tin for the oriental tin.
