How I free hand for my foam builds

I start by drawing the picture of my idea or use reffrence pics. I only draw half because it insures that both sides will end up the same. Find your center, draw the temp and measure to make sure it's square. Then draw it on the foam and flip for the other side. I'm not saying this is the way it has to be done or that its the best way but its what works for me. Pep files are great to use but some times there is no file for what u want to do. Here is an example from a project I am currently working on.

Looks like your off to a good start! Are you doing something from Halo?

Freehand drawing is my preferred method other than Pepakura. I used freehand to build my UNSC Trooper armor and rifle HERE.

im currently working on two halo armors. but not the traditional halo armor that is always done. im taking the pieces i like and using thoughs. i like all the armors but think that some pieces look better then others. but it is mostly a reach based armor :)

Sweet! Can't wait to see the whole thing come together. :)

Because of this post I decided to start trying your technique. Hopefully it'll turn out the way I want to.... only need it close, not perfect....lol.

Thanks for the tips!!!
