Hi does anybody know who makes a screen accurate watchmen Rorschach mask i cant seem to find one i have a cheap moving mask that don't quite satisfy my needs tbh i haven't seen any decent one apart from maybe the dc direct replica with the grapple gun but iv heard its not wearable does anybody have this id like to know you thoughts and in need of help thanks.
Im also building the whole costume and so far i only have purple pinstripe trousers from magnoli clothiers (joker pants)
the coat will also come from there
and the hat from Texas hatters.

i've seen quite a few people cosplaying as Rorschach as various conventions, a big issue with the masks that have the thermal changing paint / ink seems to be that once you're in full costume, around other people and your body heat increases the mask becomes stuck between transitions and looks very muddy...

that being said i've seen a few high quality masks pop up on ebay from time to time but they don't seem to come up too often... i'm not sure exactly what you're after in terms of the mask, i'm assuming your building a costume for movie version of Rorschach?... after a quick search online here's some items that may help with your costume...

magnoli also sells the Rorschach suit, scarf, gloves and trenchcoat

there are quite a few people on etsy who take commissions for costume's and prop's, you may be able to find someone on there who could create a more screen accurate mask... kinda depends on your overall budget and how screen accurate you're wanting your costume to be... hope this helps...

I'm actually working on this too, I should have my own thread up in a couple weeks. Getting a "screen accurate" mask is going to be tough, the mask in the movie was made out of lycra and screen printed with a canvas texture, and sewed up to Jackie Earle Haileys specs. From what I understand there was a seam running up the back and one around the ears and along the jaw line, this kept it nice and tight on his head. Then obviously they removed the seams for the movie digitally. So its tough to get it with no wrinkles and obviously you won't get the canvas texture. The best you can do is get some lycra and make one yourself, thats what I am doing and so far it looks pretty good, I got the thermochromic ink too but I have not painted it yet.

i have a movie ink blot mask but the quality isn't really what im looking for i was going to get a dc collectibles grapple gun and mask and try and convert that into a wearable mask as its from the digital files used for the movie its a project iv been after for a few years now but keep getting stuck on that damn mask haha thanks for the reply guys hope your project goes will i will be checking regards

What works best for me was to get Linen and sew it up based on the "Better Hood" pattern here: http://www.stretchy.org/catsuit/extras/hoods/

This ends up with 4 seams under the hat, and a seam running around your jaw and down the sides.
