Sir Michael Parkinson CBE (28 March 1935 – 16 August 2023) was an English television presenter, broadcaster, journalist and author.

I remember fondly staying up late on Saturday nights watching this show with my Dad

We owe Parkinson a huge debt of gratitude for giving Billy Connolly his exposure to a wider audience.
Parkinson was a fantastic interviewer who often said very little bit knew the right questions to ask to bring out the detail from his guests.
