My Super-Accurate Ghostbusters Coveralls

Hi everyone! I haven't posted here in a very long time (mostly doing NASA spacesuit stuff), but I recently got back into Ghostbusters after many years of being away. I wanted to share the super-accurate Ghostbusters flight suit I've been working on the last few weeks. I borrowed Adam Savage's suit that was made of Afterlife fabric for reference. There’s a lot of debate about the color of these, some say they were khaki and others say grey, but I thought the Afterlife suits looked really good so I matched it exactly. I also went one step further and dyed two slightly different shades of ripstop, one slightly darker for the sleeves and pockets because the original ‘84 suits were two-toned like this. I also incorporated a number of details that I’ve never seen on any other replica, even the high end ones. The collar stand, the little grommet holes in the armpit, the Velcro tab on the cuff sewn on TOP of the seam. The measurements of the pockets and zippers are mostly identical to the screen-used Stantz suit that everyone references, but I had to change a few things because Dan Aykroyd is much larger than I am. For instance the chest pockets needed to be closer to the center zipper than his suit because it’s much wider than mine. Overall I didn’t have to rescale the pockets too much, so I’m happy about that. Thanks for looking (I'm still around).

Do you have a good measurement for the arm patch? Is it centered on the on the shoulder front/back? How far down from the shoulder seam is the head, and the red border?

Wow, this is so well made, and your attention to detail is just... chef's kiss!

I also saw your various remakes of this as the NASA flight suits on your Instagram, ( & for anyone who hasn't seen them) but I especially dig the yellow/gold one.

I really want to make a couple of these for myself in different fabrics, for different uses, and with slight alterations to fit me perfectly.

I tried to find the McCall's M2054 "Resistance" flight/jump suit pattern, which they released in 2016 as part of their Cosplay range, but it's out-of-print, seemingly out-of-stock everywhere globally (that has an online presence), and was apparently never available as a PDF pattern.

I've also been trying to get hold of one of the genuine CWU-27/P's (in sizes 40L/42L/44L) on eBay to use as reference, but being in the UK the shipping cost from the US to here are double/triple the value that even some of the cheapest ones are selling for.

So.... I was wondering - like a few other folks on the IG posts - whether you had any plans to make your pattern/s for it available to buy?
