hi guys
well it had to happen after me making a a lot of star wars models and a coupld of battle star gallactica models I thought it was time to have a go at a thundrbird machine, and here is my humble attempt at thunderbird one. she is all built from flat sheet and a little bit of filer ( or should I say a lot of filler ) she took just over 3 weeks to build and I did enjoy it so much in fact that another thunderbird machine may be also on its way soon to this website. anyway take a look at the first few build up images and please let me know what you think.

scratchbuild thunderbird one part three

hi guys here is part of the large thunderbird one scratchbuild, painting is not my srong point so I feel my models are like works of art best viewed from a little distance, and as for the digital cameras they miss nothing at all, they are just to good, I wish I had a friend that could paint all my models as I just like to build and build,

regards Barrie ( the old guy ) let me know what you think guys and be honest so that I can take on the messages on board and improve on the next one I HOPE.

Re: launch of scratcbuild of thunderbird one

Looks good to me, and not as big as I thought it would be. Maybe I should build models this big, it would be easier on my eyes and I wouldn't need reading glasses. If you're happy with it then that's all that counts, every model is a learning experience, try new things and learn from mistakes, mistakes are just as important and successes if you learn from them. Keep it up, I always enjoyed watching the Thunderbirds as a kid, may favorite was Thunderbird 2.
Another old guy.

Hello Mr Recarl69,
nice name tag, anyway if I knew how to stick a link in I would do so but if you just search under thunderbird one you will find the drawings by Philip D rea, he has done all the thunderbrid machines at some point but they are not all on the net, but I must thank him for putting thunderbird one out there for model makers have fun
