Hydro Graphics/ Water Printing

I haven't seen any posts about this so I just wanted to get this to everyones attention here. A lot of hydro graphics/ water printing places are now doing chrome applications so if you're in need of chrome plating but don't want to spend a lot of money, this is the best cost effective alternative. They also come in wood grains and carbon fiber patterns and I know a lot of you costume makers can take advantage of this.

I'd seen this process on "American Choppers". It looks cool as heck. What they didn't go into was the durability of the film. Any ideas?

My understanding is that it is not a film. It comes on a film but that dissolves in the water so it is just a layer of paint floating on the water. I guess you would have to clear coat it to protect it.

yup so it's like a huge water slide graphics, but it's very durable and sticks like paint. Yea don't have to clearcoat it, but I did in a lot of the automotive app that I've done just because I need a glossy finish.
