Well I finally got off my ass and completed something. Was feeling pretty low and unmotivated for a while and while watching a Christmas story over the holiday it reminded abou my own bb gun
This is a Buzz Barton Daisy super 103 model 33 bb gun. Thi was my grandfathers and was found in his attic after he passed away in 1994. My father had it for a bit then he gave it to me after he moved out of his house.
It was rusted very badly. Had a nickel finish but the rust took that away. I dissasembled it and soaked all the peices on Evaporust. Once the rust was gone i sanded all the metal parts with low to hi grades of sandpaper. Then polished with rubbing compound and a buffer. Lots of old pitting in the metal that i couldnt get out. Reassembled and replaced the old seals.
Now i know this isnt a prop replica but it was a unfinished project for a long time. Im hoping i can continue this trend.
