Bought a polyurethane rubber prop from DapperCadaver but it's the wrong tone

As the title says, I bought a polyurethane rubber prop from DapperCadaver and was sent the wrong skin tone.
I'm trying to return the prop and receive a new one before Halloween as this was bought as a gift for my partner's annual Halloween party. We don't believe it's possible to have it returned, remade and shipped back to us before then but are looking for any alternatives that might help save the prop and still have it usable for Halloween.
If anyone knows if that type of material from them is just painted and can be removed to its original tone and repainted I will take any advice, tips, tricks or ideas.
