Blakes 7 Imipak key

Here is my scratchbuild of the activation key to the Imipak device, seen in the season 2 episode 'Weapon'. It is made from plasticard and a gutted calculator. It probably doesn't have the 1 million mile range of the actual key.

I think that it was probably a rule in the BBC VFX dept. that everything had to have a part from the AIrfix Apollo V kit on it.

Somehow, I don't think I've much choice (especially as it would waste the drill handle, old glue gun and clear orange perspex discs that I've already bought!).

I’ve got a decent replica of the gun that I bought off eBay a while ago (and upgraded slightly, to add some extra bits). Would any photos of it be of use to you?

I’ve been meaning to build the “key”, but I’ve never been able to find the right box. What did you use, if you don’t mind me asking?

Would appreciate the photos please. I ended up making the case from plasticard wrapped around an instrument enclosure from ebay. I suspect the original would've been a single enclosure but no idea which one.

Well, better late than never! I have, at long last been over to storage and dug out the replica IMIPAK gun! Here are the photos. Unfortunately, I didn’t have a ruler or tape to hand, but you can see the size of my hand as comparison, and the side handle is the same as a vintage drill handle.
