The best replica Master Sword I've seen:

It was made by one of the forum users over there (he might also be a member here... I'm not sure).

You might make a trip over to Target- they have a Master Replicas produced 1/6 scale Master Sword and shield set. It's $40, which seems reasonable, considering the mini-sabers are $35. It also comes with a CD soundtrack (only 6 tracks though).

Not the full size props you're looking for, but they're readily available and pretty cool (picked up a set today).

Edit:

Here are a couple pics of mine... They're super-chromed so it's difficult to get good pictures. The blue on the shield and purple on the sword aren't as bright as the flash makes them look. The 2nd picture is darker but that's a bit closer to how the colors really look.

Damn.. I didn't even realize they made those. I've got a friend who's a HUGE Zelda nut, he's going to flip if I get him this for Christmas.

for those that have the sword and shield set from MR would you say it's worth $40 or is it cheaply made?

I don't own the set but MR's scaled stuff is top notch. Their mini sabers are so freaking cool, not to mention made really well.

I feel this MR 1/6 Zelda sword is very over priced.

If you guys ever see those blind box video game weapon, armors from Japan and they are only 500yen, you will understand what I mean. Some of them are also 1/6 and partially made from metal.

If MR made a 1:1 Master Sword, I'd buy it in a second.

Ive got one of those full size ones from ebay on the way to me right now, ill post a little review here when it arrives. Might be awhile though, its shipping from the US to me in Canada, and that usually takes 3-4 weeks.

Yeah, if they made a 1:1 scale anything from Zelda i would buy it in a second. People should really consider making some because there are alot of people out there who would buy Zelda replicas.

Master Replicas has the Nintendo license and can make 1:1 props but they've been really slow on getting anything out....They've had the Spider-Man 3 licensing for a while and barely anything, same goes with Marvel itself.....I think it'll be a while until MR releases anything Zelda...

Oh my gosh. I'm glad I found this page when I did.

DO NOT buy the ebay zelda swords. they are wallhanger crap.

I know someone who works with fiberglass that can make a beautiful AND accurate Master sword that is also "play safe". AS WELL as the sword and sheath. It (is) a bit on the pricier side. But MAN would it be well worth it.

http://www.fiberglassblades.com/Mastersword.html

ALSO, for your interest.
Jerry Bennett, a guy over at the International Sword forums, home-forged his own master sword for his daughter. It is functional and ABSOLUTELY beautiful.
Unlike the "nintendoworld" sword posted above, this one follows more after the N64+ style of master-sword.

I too am a huge zelda fan. And am, in fact... a "Link Cosplayer". Meaning I costume as Link.
Here is my work... http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=1084674
It is currently unfinished... but VERY close

I think these are the ones on eBay at the moment, but I'm not entirely sure.

By the looks of it, it doesn't look very accurate.

I remember seeing that and the replica is actually the version from Zelda A Link To the Past game. Not sure why he chose that version of the Master Sword to be made, I would've preferred the Ocarina of Time version, (the two do differ slightly) because you have to take into account that Twilight Princess wasn't out yet and The Wind Waker was out for a year, but there is very little concept art for that Master Sword.

Hey, man, it's all good! Some of us are slightly less obsessive and missed many of these the first time around!
