Mar 7, 2008 - XSCAPESPROPS?? Should I buy from them? #1

    Hey friends,

I found a web page online called XSCAPESPROPS at:

    www.xscapesprops.com

I saw some great looking Star Trek props, but wanted to see if anyone here had any experience buying items from them.

I didn't want to place an order and get ripped off. Can anyone here recommend them? What is the deal on xscapesprops brothers????

    THANKS!!!!!

Yup, Scott Nakada is a straight up guy. Some of his original pieces appeared in Of Gods and Men. My old group in Seattle does business with him as have I and never a problem. Quality stuff.

Sorry, I don't really understand the question? Are you talking about something at Xscapeprops webpage?

Can you let us know what your question means?

    Thanks

one of the description of a Nakada piece:

Kit Price: $61 ( Kit also has "bubble security" technology cast into each part, to deter counterfeit copies. )

was wondering what that was and if it is something i can use in my own original sculpts

I think (I THINK) - that the bubble security is a special coating of epoxy or something that they use to line the inside of their props. This prevents people from recasting their stuff because of the lined interior people won't be able to recreate all the details in a mold.
