x-wing car for parade?

I have a beat up white convertible. Anyone done a temporary paint job on a car to make it look like an x-wing?

Put a hefty coat of wax on the car. Paint over it with rattle cans. This should work.

More worried about the pattern. I can use buffing compound to get the paint off.
