Ha ha, yeah apologies, my real life takes over most of the timeI am still working on this, I may be able to get some photos up tomorrow after work
** BIG UPDATE **
Here is the reason why I have been so quiet on this lately, I have totally reworked the dome to be more accurate, originally it sloped down far too much so I fixed that, I have completely re-done the trim by over laying 1.5mm Styrene cut to a symetrical pattern, I have also re done all bevel details, this helmet is now 99% ready, there are just one or 2 minute spots I want to address then it is done, I am doing no more to it!!

checked this thread couple of times over past week, when i read you were abandoning the project was abit but glad you're making progress, would be a shame not to come out with a end product after the time you've put into it.

Blowing my mind right now with what you've done thusfar, Cody. Those bevels are pretty damn amazing. The nose curve is beautifully done, as it's slight curvature lends to how much attention this helmet deserves.

Why would it be purple? This is the film version.
well there is puple on the end game trim. I think ppl will have to wait til the DVD release at the end of October to figure out what kind of purple it is.
I love it when people strive for perfection...you sir are doing that with this helmet

Here are the latest batch of photos, they are not that great for some reason they seem really bright? The final alteration I made to the helmet was the trim around the bottom edge, it now tapers around to be more accurate, I took some other shots from a few different angles too.
Tomorrow I will give the helmet a final sand then a last light coat of primer and then its off to be molded

Awesome job. Looks much better with the back fixed. I applaud your attention to detail and your openness to everyone's comments. The end result so far is a work of art. If I could control magnetism, I would wear your helmet.
