    Sep 12, 2008 - Who's got SWORDS? Can I see your SWORDS? VIKING'S? #1

    Hi,

I have a project (fingers crossed) that might fly next year and, well, it involves Viking's and stuff. So, I've never really spent any time taking
    notice of such things.

But if there is anyone on here who has Swords, or any kind of Viking stuff
(anything at all) I would love to see pictures. Also, if you are an expert on
any of this stuff let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

I probably was a viking in another life... But I think this doesn't count, right?
(and if I'm also a sword addict? No? )

    Good luck with your project!

If you want to see or buy some realistic viking swords take a look at the Albion Website.

The only problem with Albion is unless you are a hardcore collector or reenactor who has gobs of money, they are a pretty expensive source. By-The-Sword used to have some fairly accurate Viking swords that were a decent price, but they've sold out recently.

I look forward to seeing how your project pans out, Hal. I've been on a Viking fix lately, so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

I have a Viking sword and a sheath. And for the right price I might just part with it. If interested I can send pictures.

That is true, but if he just wants to see pictures they have some great detailed shots available on their page plus they got a huge variety of different yet realistic stiles of viking swords.

You are correct, sir. I misread that first post.

Hal, this site has some pretty good reading on clothing and way of life, if that's the sort of thing you're interested in.
