Vader chest blinking red LED- Cheap !

I know this won't work for most Vader guys, because it's not going to be 100% accurate, but it's a great budget solution.

This is from a $4 kit I bought at Frys. It only controls 2 LEDs but at $4 a pop I guess you could buy 3 and set each one to a different blink rate.

The 2 LEDs are not adjustable themselves, you adjust how quick each LED blinks in relation to the other. The adjustment is a dial so it is adjustable along the dial. I guess if you knew about electronics you could build the kit with different dials and get a different blink rate.

I found them on frys.com but they are listed as velleman mk102. Just a heads up if you try valleman. Thank you so much for this find. These will work great for my display Vader. I have been looking for a cheaper version for the blinking chestbox lights.

You solder the kit yourself, you could use any color LED you wanted.

I'm just surprised it works. I've tried a few solder-yourself kits and never had one actually work before.

I was thinking if you used a lower voltage LED in white and put 2 on one side and one LED on the other side of the circuit you could use this in an SS Shuttle Tydirium for the blinking upper wing/2 lower wings.

They are showing on FRYS.com that it is a pickup only kit. We don't have a Frys here in Virginia. Would anyone be willing to get me two and ship to me? I would pay all costs involved.

These kits are available all over the internet, Velleman is a very famous kit producer - and if you shop around you'll find them for less than $4.

e.g. a quick google shopping search turned up two suplliers. If you use the regular google, you'll find 100's of outlets
