Yeah, unfortunately, the company shouldn't have sold them to you, as I know exactly who paid a lot of money to have the molds and replicas made from the Original sunglasses.. The China company actually has a lot to answer for and is still being looked into..

These replicas, were molded from the Original Papillion and screen used version, but a few changes were made.. For example, no writing, plus the screws on the Original were silver, these are black to blend in with the sunglasses.. They also have the proper UV lens so people can wear them as sunglasses, not just for costumes.. Though fans could replace the lens with the gel lens to make them the same as the Original series..
The Papillion company stopped making these years ago.. As mentioned, a lot of money was handed over to mold them and have these turn up a close to the Originals as possible for fans.. The company in China then did the dirty on the customer and started shipping these off to other sunglasses companies ( Which are where these come from ), before the actual costumer even got their first batch..
Forgot to mention.. You can find to actual owner of the molds on eBay which sells them for US $29.95 and US $7.00 shipping in the US.. I would post the link, but probably not allowed.. But will offer the users page:

These are in stock, ready to ship.. And has 100s to offer.. I've had my pair for months now, the only other person that had these was Richard Herd ( John in the Original V ) and they are the best replicas for the Visitors sunglasses..

Yeah, sorry about that Michael.. Thought it would not be ok, but I know the one that got these made, as I begged him to get them done, and think it is pathetic what this company has done to him, as over $5000 was payed for molds and product, only to have them ship them off to others..
Here are pics of them, comparing them to the Originals..
