Spent a lot of time working on this over at the Paper Props forum, thought Id put the final showoff thread here.
Big thanks to the guys who contributed over at the Uncharted thread in the paper props forums, and a special thanks to Kredeprops, who had already recreated the final 12 pasted pages and sent me his hi-res files for printing.

Awesome work. I love adventure style journals with stuck in pages and clippings. The Grail Diary is the classic, but it's great to see something new and different. Love it.

I would love to do a run...Unfortunately all of the illustrations done on the notebook paper were done by hand, which ended up taking me weeks to do (especially with my schedule).Onkelpsycho said:

The only problem is that many of the illustrations are directly drawn onto the pages of the journal.Onkelpsycho said:

First, any chance to make a screenshot from the diary in the game on PS3 somehow?!?
I think I can draw the paintings myself, so maybe just need the insert files like photos and pictures, what are glues in.
Dont know exactly, but maybe you can make a post with all important information I need (what book & size, drawing techniques)...
Its late now, I will take a look tomorrow in the thread again and see what I can do with my skills...

That is amazing! Great to see a prop for such a cool game.
You can either go into the Uncharted: Among Thieves paper props thread and use those screencaps, or just take a photo of the PS3 image on the TV, (thats what I did)Onkelpsycho said:

Thanks, I think I will start a new game, and try to make some pics of the TV... sadly there is no way to make ingame screenshots.
I watched walkthroughs on youtube and was able to make some screen caps. Not the best but usable in some cases.

Your screen name happens to be the same name of a night club that used to be down here about 15 years ago.
I'm sure you've heard this question about a thousand times, but what type of journal did you use? It looks like a sketch journal but is it a specific type? Also, what is the size of it? But all in all it's the darn near greatest thing I've ever seen in my life! I've been with Uncharted since it first came out, and this... this just blew my mind to bits! It's the most incredible thing I've ever seen! I'd definitely love to try it! Any tips?

The Journal I used was a Moleskine 5"x8.25" sketchbook.
It doesn't come in blue so I had to color the cover.
The last 12 pages were done by another member of the board named Kredepops (It saved me a lot of time)
Those pages were printed on parchment printer paper (It's kind of yellowish and old looking). Once the pages were printed I went ahead and aged it some more with a mix of sepia and water dabbed on with a paper towel.
As for a copy, this is the only one I made, it was all done by hand and extremely time consuming so I probably wont be making another one.
However, if you check out the paper props section, theres an entire thread with the research, images and all the information needed to make your own.
