Is there any Darth Vader shoulder armor that...

...that actually has the proper u-shape opening that curves over your shoulders right, and not the V neck that is just awkward to wear?

Anything that is accurately shaped and sized was built for Dave Prowse who was pretty big at the time of filming. So unless you are that size (i.e. 6'5" ish, bodybuilder physique) the accurate stuff won't fit you well.

If that is the case, there are variants out there of the GH armor. And the orginal GH armor/variants had a warped neck opening...corrected in later knock-offs.

I'm curious as to which ones you have seen that have a V-neck.

I think he's talking about GT armor, it may not be really "V"-necked but the way it opens up so wide, it might as well be. This and the way it doesnt slip over the shoulders are my two biggest complaints about the armor.

yeah i didn't mean like an acutal V neck with a point. The main thing is even prowse's size the neck would be wide not flared out. Im a pretty big guy, im 6'2 240lb so that is not my problem. I have the Portumac ROTS shoulder armor, which is still the uneven OT armor with new shoulder bells.

The main problem is it was meant to curve straightly over the shoulder blades so your arms could swivel. But the problem ive seen with almost all armors, is the front of your arms are free but the back flares causes them to curve over where your arm joint in the back limiting mobility.

Heres two pics. The OT helmet should sit on top of the armor and you shouldn't see any kind of gap.




Heres a real good pic for an example. YOu can see how the neck area flares out to the sides when it should really be two straight lines and then the neck curve.

Yeah from what ive gathered most darth vader shoulder armor originates from GT's molds, minus a select few vendors. Is Stone Studios armor a completely new sculpt?

Yeah, that is just lazy. You could have just used the damned Rubies stuff.
