So recently a friend and I have been building a lot of Medieval items and that includes round shields. We build two and I plan on making one into a Skyrim guard shield. I'm not sure yet which one but I am leaning either towards Solitude:

Anyway here's some pictures of the build so far.
Started with a scrap piece of plywood.
Drew out the circle
Cut off the excess
Cut the shield out completely.
Attached the handle (pretty makeshift, might revisit it later on)
Both shields next to each other.

Creating the lines across the shield to give it the look that it was banded wood.
The shield finally done ready to be painted.
I plan on deciding between the two designs tomorrow and hopefully get to painting it, pictures to come.
Very soon I will have a full video edited showing the entire build in a how to format for my build web series.
