It was a chilly winter morning in early 2012... When fellow RPFer teecrooz came across an innocent looking eBay listing that read:
“Rolls Royce Jet Engine For Sale”.
The listing had pictures. Average, not much too see. The price seemed just right, but too much for you and me.
The seller was difficult, and quite grumpy as well.
But what was inside that old engine? Only time would tell…
A year went by, and still not much to see,
Scottjua came on scene and gathered group interest, including me.
The seller surprised us, and sent us a pic,
The pipe looked like gold, but we dared not act quick.
When the seller found out what the pipes were used for,
He upped his asking price and our jaws hit the floor.
Looked like those pipes were far out of reach,
Until a few of us went rogue and the sellers defenses got breached.
And here ends the tale of our year long fight…
