Hello, i am beginning to make a Death Gun cosplay for an upcoming comic and anime con.
I'm planning on starting with the mask since it is one of the major components to the costume.

I have figured out what i'm going to do for the eyes but i need help with one critical part that i feel is somewhat
necessary to cosplay this character. His mask has a "Venting" function i'm hoping to make look similar of that in the anime.

I don't know really how to make that sort of effect, i've thought of fog machines to air cans but they really don't work as intended.
Here's a short video on the basics of what i'm trying to do.
So yeah, that's basically the beginning. I'll keep posting my advances in the costume as i go along with it. Comments, Suggestions, and help is welcome
and encouraged.

wanting to be able to see the it when it vents? I am drawing a blank short of putting maybe a small chamber inside the mask you fill with some kind of powder but then there would be dust on everything...

Maybe Just get a cheap electronic cigarette, something small (in the UK we get them a lot near the checkouts at various shops - though I myself use a full sized £40 one. but anyway - yeah if you got a small e-cig, glued it to the inside of the mask, had come holes (maybe covered with fine mesh if you want it to look solid. Then when you want to 'vent' the mask you could just take a puff on the e-cig inside and let the vapour out.

Lust a thought - he says while happily vaping :p

if you do decide to do the e-cig route I found a video about making your own e-cig liquid so you can use just pure glycerine and water and not get any unwanted nicotine.

I've never tried this (nor even smoked an e-cig :lol) so take this with a grain of salt, but I hope this works, I've seen people use ecigs before and it produces a nice smoke-like effect,
