My wife and I were watching and she tried to ID'd the lanterns that they were charging up.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has any high res pictures of the table lamps/lanterns that you see in the crew quarters? The light "element" looks like the same used in some LED lanterns and the rest looks like various hardware you can get @ home depot.
To date I have only been able to find one ok photo. And I dont have a blueray DVD play on my PC to get decent screen caps so hardware determination has been difficult w/o a photo in hand...
Any help would be awesome and I will be sure to post my progress as I make one

That's a great looking replica! Too bad he didn't post any other pictures, maybe one with a ruler.
He's a fake... I thought that "replica" looked just a little too good and the shot a little too familiar.

Since these are based around a PSP, what is a PSP's outer dimension and screen size?
If you're referring to post #29, the information is just as likely bogus as his "replica". They guy edited a screencap from the show and tried to pass it as his work. SO... unless someone reliable has any information on the base item we're still in the dark. I'm still leaning towards a iPod Touch.

What about a replica control console using one of those HP touch smart desktops,the screen is a couple inches larger than the props but *** would still look pretty awesome if it was done right

Probably the most impressive bit of work on SGU are the space suits.

For the Keno why don't you use Magic 8 balls they look about the right size.

I just held up my psp to the pics, it looks like they may have based it off of a psp in terms of case size and similar design, but either they have covered some of the screen or used something different, the screen on that is quite a bit smaller than mine.
Dimensions of psp case 6 5/8" wide, 2 3/4" tall, 3/4" thick, screen measures 3 3/4" x 2 1/8"
Really would love to make one of these to go with my costume for comic con.
