star wars props

hi guys im new here and want to build a prop but dont know where or how to go about it. just wondering if theres a book or site out there with design specifications for most of the star wars stuff

Not really, you could of course build some of the stuff that's based on real world parts like OT sabers or blasters, there are some blueprints online for some of the sabers too if you fancy scratchbuilding, not sure how accurate they are though.
And there's the blaster builders club forum. http://www.imperial-fleet.com/BBC/ fun way to build some blasters without laying out a lot of money.

Other than that pick something you fancy building and ask away i'm sure someone here can give you some pointers if you're looking for a specific build.

thanks i might start with a lightsaber or something but after seeing the 8ft star destroyer, well ive set my goal for the next 5 years lol
