star trek custom phaser

Hi, here’s a custom phaser I just finished.
I started out making a standard phaser from the 23rd century pistol kit. But as I have a few standard phasers already I decided to have a bit of fun and add some detail I thought would look cool.
The main P2 body, P1, handle and emitter tip are from the kit.
The Nozzle, side knob, bottom of the ten turn knob, side rails, rear fins and thumb wheel are from Federationphaser.tk. The other metal parts I made from brass and aluminium sheet.
The P1 has the electronics from an Art Asylum phaser. It is held in place with magnets, which also make an electrical connection so that the sound can be triggered from the P2.

Looks nice.


...Though I'm not a big fan of the large Starfleet symbol on the top.

I think it looks great. Very clean design. I like the 'Starfleet issue' look of the logo.

BAK55, that’s the sort of thing I was thinking about when making it.
I was also thinking of the episode “mirror mirror” and what the alternative universe phasers could have looked like. A bit more ostentatious.
