Spider-Man Silly String Shooter [Need help to make]

Hello guys!

[Some may have seen my other thread where I needed help to make the "Wrist Mounted Water Shooter", but I have changed my mind, again, and for the last time. I wanted to do this one, because its much more easier for me because I didnt had much experience of those electric water shooter things.]

As you can see, its something like this I want to make; Spiderman Web Blaster - Toysit

Why do I want to make this instead of buying it?
Yes, thats because I dont want to spend money on the refills, when they are empty, and I dont even want that design either. I was more looking for a more flatter refill can, and the whole thing just a little smaller :-)

I have done some research, but I will do more!

- I dont mean to "ask" you guys to do all this for me, I just want some ideas, and help for this project ;-)
So if you guys could give me some tips here, I would be glad!

The blaster is available to shoot silly string and water.
The water bottle can also be refilled.
I think this one is the perfect build for me.
And in this video; Review: Spiderman Mega Blaster Web Shooter w/Glove - YouTube
they're showing the same web shooter just in a different design.
Also they dismantled the whole thing into just four pieces!
This build may be eaiser than I thought :-)
As you can see at the pictures below, I have a empty flat bottle, that I thought could be the can filled with water/silly string. Its a perfect size, and best of all, flat!

how do you plan to pressurise it the electric water gun would be the easiest design and could even run to a tank on your back, i don't see how you would fire silly string from the bottle which means you would again have to buy refills

I am doing this project first, because its easier to make :-)
And because I suck at electronics too. But maybe I'll do that one after this one.
Since I heard that the Spider-Man Web Blaster doesnt just fire silly string, but also water, I decided to build this, and just use it to shoot water! :-)

I cant find any websites with this mechanism :'(
Any help guys?

You should find a watergun that is electric based and take the motor out of it and adapt it for your needs.

To be honest, you would probably be better off buying the toy and modifying it to your liking

^ I feel the same way.
In any case that I am aware of, if you are looking to make it shoot silly string, you'll be buying refills anyway. At least these cans will be already suited to spay while the can is horizontal, unlike conventional silly string cans.

-You may be able to swap the nozzles( if they can detach and be re-attached) from the Spider-Man brand name refill to a regular one. Something to look into...

Otherwise, this project may be more complicated than you think and/ or want it to be

I have thought about the same thing, but this Web/Water Blaster looks so simple to build; Teton Toys :: Jackson Hole
But maybe it isnt.

But I'm not sure if its trashed or not. I will search for it in my shed today.
But when I get my Web Blaster, maybe I could mold it and make more of them (mold the plastic-parts)

if you find a way to make a small one that fires silly string please PM me im working on an string one atm but still in design stage

That toy you keep referring to is just a can of silly string strapped to your wrist with a nifty trigger. There is no complicated "mechanism" that makes it work. The palm trigger is simply actuating the nozzle in the can.



So even if you replicate that on your own, you still have the constraints of a 3oz can to deal with.

Yeah, I will. And I know you're working in the web shooter ;-)
Same here, but if you cant it as small as the Amazing Spider-Man web shooter, then you have to attach a CO2 cartridge on it. 1 cartridge fires about 300 feet of silly string ;-)

my son has this and the water bottle attachment works the same as a pump bottle of hand soap. the finger lever just pushes down on the pump and the water squirts out.
As cheap as this is (especially if you find one on ebay or something) it really seams that it would be so much cheaper and easier to just buy one. You'll easily spend more than that trying to make one and you may not get the results you're looking for.

Tomorrow I will take w ride to a toy shop and buy one, and maybe mold the parts so I can make several of these ;-)
