How complicated/difficult is the process of ring making? There are a couple different kinds I'd like to try, but they would require being sculpted then cast in metal. And what about adding jewels? Who here knows about this?

I used to work /help a jeweler at a pawn shop....lots of equip. involved..carving the ring, casting it, heating/mixing metals, pouring the mold..soldering...polishing etc...maybe carve your ring out of wax then take it somewhere....jewels have to be held in place by heads/crowns beveled edging etc....mabe start off w/ a jewelry book to get an idea of what your getting yourself into.
