Siver age comic book villian gun

I just finished a Christmas gift for a good friend who will receive this very soon. He's a big fan of The Flash nemesis, Captain Cold.

We've seen photos of other guys doing the costume, but never having the proper prop for the gun. So I decided to build him one based on the original Carmen Infantino design. It's 100% paper (Corregated cardbord for the innards with cardboard tubes for the inner barrel and regular cardstock for the skin.) with the only exception was the use of some window screening to add texture to the grips.



He doesn't frequent this forum, so I'm not too concerned about spoiling the surprise.

Myself, though... lately I've been finding myself preferring the retro 1950s ray gun vibe of Captain Cold's gun as drawn by Darwyn Cooke in DC: The New Frontier!

Sadly, I can't find the closeups from the comic, where you can see the control switches. Those images are essential for anyone that would want to make a replica of this retro ray gun!
