Anyone been watching the old ones on ebay lately? So who was it that was worried about devaluation? The old ones are still going for more than the new ones.
even if it's being updated, there still were only 1,000 made. that's a pretty low edition size no matter what the prop.
Did you guys see the one guy who wants 2 grand for his samaritan?
Say what you will about edition size. The number of samaritan on ebay JUMPED as soon as the new one was announced. That's gotta tell you somethin. The people that had the old one now want to unload it to get the new one
I think I'm gonna display my old one on the new stand and then have the new gun lying around the house to play with!
I ordered mine last night and I'm glad I just stumbled on this. I get sideshows newsletter, but I somehow this one went under the radar. Same thing happened last time and I missed out. This is just too cool to pass up!

GHAA!!! That was quick. Only 850 pieces too! Glad I got my order in. Man, I'm almost as excited for this prop as I am for "Vera". (I said almost!)
I would imagine they'd use cast aluminum or something due to the size. A few Denix items use some kind of porous light weight stuff that feels a little like aluminum but is probably an inexpensive alloy blend. I had a small hand axe made out of the stuff but it broke (snapped in two) while filming a scene in an old Fantasy parody I did. The high-pitched "clink" sound you can hear in the Samaritan video made me think of how that axe sounded when tapped against another metal object.

I thought it sold very slowly. I think $400 for a non-firing gun had people thinking twice. Not me though...I placed my order the second I saw it.

Finally got a reply concerning whether the samaritan would come from the UK wahehouse even though my confirmation said US( i live in the UK):
