Don't have anything myself, but I know there are drone builders about.
John from the Robot Hut built a set of drones:

I have some patches and the Conservationist's Pledge.
I love that movie and I agree Bruce Dern is the man. I worked for three days as an extra in "On the Edge" and he was a wonderful man on set.
The Wolf
A member here just built a sweet looking drone here about a month ago.
I'm sure he will chime in when he sees this
I always wanted to do the jumpsuits and the patches, but just never had the time or money. I had actually been thinking about a run of patches that would make a nivce display, all the ships and so on. I don;t know if anyone ever did this, or even worked upt he art needed.
Here was some interest here in doing machined Nuclear Detonators but I don't know if anybody ever made them.
I put up a lot of reference pics here

I was expecting to see more bobsleds in here...I think I got my movies mixed up. (JK)
Thing is, I don't think there are ay good "official: still shots showing patches. I've been hoping they will release it in Bluray.
I'm not sure th3ere is a "hero" patch, so maybe if I can gather up enough designs to do a nice display set.
Anyone know who made those ski suits?

Ah, now to just break into Bruce's home and take some pictures....
Douglas Trumbull mentions the ski suit manufacturer by name in the DVD commentary. Helle Hansen, if memory serves, off the rack: the only mod they did was put a pouch on the front for the actors' microphones. I'd check it out but it's nap time.
This is a cool bit of trivia from IMDb:
Each of the four characters wears a unique "signal flag" patch on his jumpsuit. Not only do the signal flags stand for the initial letter of their respective last names, but they all have other meanings in the naval code, which are somewhat significant to the characters. For example, Lowell's flag "L" means "You should stop your vessel immediately". [Barker's] "B" means "I am carrying dangerous goods or explosives".

yeash, but witht he maker name it at least helps to search for one.
I found a paper model for tetrahedrons and made graphics to recreate the cargo containers. I'll take some pix and post them if anyone is interested. I built a 3D Studio Max model of Drone #1 but have yet to get it 3D printed.
