Sankara Stones from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

I wanted to make a set of Sankara Stones from Indiana Jones ATTOD. I took some liberties with them. I made them a bit more rough then they appear in the film. I also wanted to give them very distinct looks. I am also not going for the light up crystal versions. I would like to mold and cast in resin. As they stand now they are WED clay. I haven't decided if I want to make these available to be honest, because I am not sure how well received they would be since I did make some changes to the original prop. I just wasn't happy with what I saw out there. I wanted something with more of a stone quality. Please let me know what you think. I am open to criticism especially when one tackles a prop as well known as this and makes some changes.

I think they look great. The Sankara Stones must be the most simple prop ever yet it is very difficult to get right.

I think you are off to a great start.

They are said in the movie to be "River rocks". Any stone that has been in the river for very long would be very smooth.
Yours are great stones. But roughness doesn't seem to fit the screen accurate prop.

I made a Goonies coin that I loved, and everyone else said it wasn't screen accurate. Sometimes you have to make props that
YOU like. But they're going to be harder to sell to anyone else.

Selling them isn't really the ultimate goal here, but I am starting to agree with you and the other comments. I will try to stick closer to screen accurate. Thanks so much for your opinion.

The middle one looks like the most common stone duplicated. Looks good. I remember less close ups of the other two stones...but the two end ones need....something.

Once again Thanks for your input. I made a lot of changes to the three stones. Did a lot of smoothing and polishing. I took out all the stuff I had added to make them more stonelike. I am pretty pleased with how they look now as far as Prop Replicas. Of course criticism is always welcome. If I can make them better I sure will try.
