Resin for outside question

I am sculpting a few things that will be for outside use. I want to mold them and make copies in resin and paint the resin in outdoor spray paint. I was wondering if the resin would hold up outside for 4 or 5 years.

Re: Resin for outside question

I don't see why not, at first glance. However, it would also depend on the quality of the resin. Your best bet is to find out from the manufacturer of the resin whether it'd be good to use outside, and also look into potential interactions with the spray paint.

I have been testing this for 5 years. I have a (unpainted) resin casting sitting in the backyard. It sits there being rained on and beat upon by the (100+) summer sun. It has yellowed, but remains strong. With paint, I don't think it will be an issue at all

I hae a new process that I have been using for my sculptures. This stuff will last outside forever and not yellow. You can even make them out of just about anything you want added to the resin.
check the website and email me for more info

Re: Resin for outside question

I've no experience with the stuff, but most cheapy outdoor chairs and tables are made of resin and they seem to fare pretty well, although that may depend on the type of resin used...
