Hey guys! Yeah, you read right. I'm looking for some help identifying a prop from Rebel Assault II. It's the little hand held detector he's using.

I 'm pretty sure the prop Rookie One is using is called(at least in the Star Wars universe) a Terrain Locator. I don't know what it is that they used to make the prop. Looking at it up close I can tell it doesn't look like a portable videogame system.
It looks to me to be a panel from an old metal detector

I also think this could be a part from an old metal detector. It sorta looks like a Radio Shack Micronta 3001 Metal Detector. What do you guys think?
It doesn't look right for a metal detector control panel. Some of the knobs are correct, but it looks like it has a coax jack next to the LCD. It kindof looks like a modded multimeter to me and yet it doesn't. Maybe it was kit bashed?
