Anyone know the specific Hoyt Spectra or the differences in the specific Spectra's other than the limbs?
Some are just Spectra,
Some are Spectra then another name,
Some have full curve limbs like Rambo's,
Some have the limbs bend back out away from the bow a little at the end,
The good news is they seem to be pretty common and not terribly expensive. Found a number of recent sales for only a few hundred.
Still can't dig up anything on his little belt push daggers?
Looks like a Hoyt but so do a lot of brands.
I believe it's a Martin Cougar II in Rambo IV. I think Raven1973 is correct because I have since seen that named as the bow. I think some assume it's a Hoyt because it was before but most places I can find say it's the Martin Cougar II.
I would say your right with the Martin Cougar II..but is it a very old bow?Cannot find one anywhere online.![]()

Yep, I would say that's it.
I still don't get how he would have this bow and the quiver. It's obviously supposed to be his set from a previous adventure but his #2 bow was toasted. He went into the water with his quiver and came out without it so that's lost. #3 was only used against the helicopter and in the cave. He came out with out any of it.
It makes no sense for him to have his #2 knife in that deleted scene as he did not have it in #3.
Really does not make sense that he went back to Thailand after #3. It's almost like he is trying to pick up where #2 left off.
It seems weird, not to mention hard to believe that he went and found a similar bow and quiver/holder but that's all he has for weapons, along with his pistol.
Really the idea of him having to make a knife quick because he tossed his makes him look silly because he would have known it was gonna go bad and in the final cut why would Rambo not always have a big knife.
Love it anyway.
The Mission daggers (with the polished edges) were made by Jimmy Lile, the carbon black knife in Rambo 3 is a Gil Hibben dagger, which were used along with the Lile daggers in that movie. The push daggers in part 2 were made by Jimmy Lile, and were never produced for the collectors market.

Wonder if that seller is a member here ? He had replica 'exploding' Razorbacks included, as well as the pendant.
Speaking of I saw a bit a debate about the Razorbacks in an old thread. I just got a set of Razorback 4s replacement blades. They come with the cover and they have the same five rings as the films. All the Razorback 5s I can find have the three rings which were not used in the film.
So it looks like it was Razoback 4s after all.

Anyone have good pics of his #2 Bow??
I have looked all over. There are the two standard from the film. One with him standing and one with him doing the SWAT walk. Neither shows the bow real close.
A few are on yourprops but the details can't be seen.
I was wondering if anyone has real good pic of the bow itself????
Thanks
Hi,
Sorry for the very late reply , I was on a Hollywood Production Job.
the hoyt bow that was heavily customized for Rambo II : The Mission
is definitelly NOT a "spectra" or "Ram hunter" ...its something else
that was NEVER released to the market!!
People can build their "home props" ...but in terms of Rambo II (THE movie bow)
they still are FAR from the truth.
Even the 22 of 100 numbered one are NOT the same !!!
in terms of wheels , limbs , riser , paint job ....etc![]()
Interesting. I'd still love to see the bows you have. It would be great to see the differences you mentioned. I've always read everywhere that it was a Hoyt Spectra with of course the wonderfull Omega wheels.
Can you post pics? Really need good pics of the Rambo 3 as well. Very, very few pics and screen grabs are not much as most of it takes place in a dark cave.
Any help is always appreciated. There really is not much about the bows as far as info goes.
I know you are simply jealous since i have 2 First Blood Lile & 2 Hibben + all the vintage bows
since you see my numbered First Blood ...you got pretty mad with all your PM that you send to me!
Get a life
Well guys there is obviously some history here but if we could stay on topic I could really use some help with the bows.
FirstBloodfan if you could provide some details and pics on the bows that would be great. What your saying about the #2 bows I had never heard before so I would love to see it and as mentioned there are little to no good pics of the Rambo 3 so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know if the Hoyt Pro Vantage in #3 had Omega wheels?? I have never seen one with them and the one shot I can find that shows them outside in the film looks like they may not be, but how would the bow have been fired otherwise???
I have searched everywhere but had no luck.
Thanks
Wow, get a grip dear boy. I dont get jealous, nor do I ever get into that rivalry thing. I am a fan who shares when I can. I remember finding a fellow member on here who had some rare footage of First Blood that he kindly sent to me, so I could pass it onto a friend so we could share it with everybody else, if I was self consumed with this collecting lark, it would have never surfaced.

If I did send you an arsey PM (which could be very likely), you most probably had it coming, I make no bones about it, if I ever kick off its for a good reason, as if you keep emailing people badgering them every two minutes (and guys, I aint kidding), and you dont get a reply right away, you get nasty, so I presume that was one of your motives to your unprovoked attacks on myself in another thread, (see below)...

Judging at your posts it seems that it is you who might be a tad jealous, for whatever reason I have no idea, as I have a very modest collection, but my collection thread definitely hit a nerve with you, which is self evident by your childish behaviour. I know who you are, and the other usernames you use on other forums. You are the same guy who kept badgering a good friend of mine who has a Rambo knife site. The reason why I told you to sling your hook, was the constant bunny boiler emails you kept sending me, unlike my friend who just ignored you, I gave you a few home truths, after much harassment by you. I dont want to bring this to this forum, so might I suggest that you grow up, if that's at all possible. ;-)

(1) im not jealous of you , ...sincerely , and you could see why when i compare collection.(seriously lol)
(2) YOU was the one who started to flow me with severals email about my first blood numbered (and im sure people here can see what i mean...)
(3) ...and last , i think you have not the correct information as i dont chat
or have communication with your friend of the Rambo knife site ......... ????
(always assure that you talk about the correct person when supposing things)
Now .... p-l-e-a-se , for the shake of GOD , Forget me , OK
I have never wanted to be your friend or ennemy ....take your pills and
start to realize at least that you are NOT Rambo ...ok ... please!!!!!!!!!
Good Luck
