Below is an HFC Mauser C96 NBB airsoft pistol. Would it be possible to convert this pistol into a functioning and/or skirmishable Han Solo ANH, ESB or ROTJ blaster? I couldn't find anything in the search.

i actually had the same idea as well. you should be able to get a convert kit from blast-tech and mount everything on it and it still fire the plastic bb's no prob.

remember tho, ya have to cut the barrel off shorter, so you will have to make a spacer ring to center the inner barrel within the outer barrel.

but i say yeah, it could be done.

The side details on the lower receiver are different on the Mauser that was used for the DL-44, but there are ways to fix this.

Here's what I did with my Airsoft C96, and it is still useable although cocking is not as easy due to the scope getting in the way.

Wrong gun. the Solo blasters were all 1896 Mausers. Some were real, and some were MGCs (replicas). What you have there is a replica of a 1936 Mauser. The grips are different, and the side details are different too. Now that version was used for an EP I blaster, so you could do that one, and have it be kind of accurate.

That said, this would still be a fun, and cheep way to do a less the accurate Solo blaster. Though, I wouldn't us really nice, heavy parts like Blast-tech, and CE sells. Wall both sellers make, perfect replica parts for a heavy gun like a Denix. I would use resin for a gun like this one. It's cheaper, and it would work better with a light weight gun like this. For resin parts, you should talk to "Wakal", I don't know if he still offers them, but back in the day you could get all the resin conversion parts you would need for any of the solo blaster for less then you would pay for one part in metal.

Hm, good question. I have know idea, though. I saw the movie when it was first out, liked it, and never really gave it much more thought. I know there are folks here that collect stuff from that film though. I have extra unconverted denixs 1896 mausers, so I'm kind of curious too.

Yeah there are metal, and plastic versions of the airsoft 1936 mouser. That's still a 1936, though. The metal ones are nice though, and usually sell for about as much as a metal Denix 1896 replica. The plastic 1936's sell for real cheap. There's a REALLY old toy maker that used to offer a (Kind of) 1896 Mauser, but there very hard to find, and tend to be pretty pricey.

How does one go about contacting "blas-tech" or "ce" for the mauser conversion parts?

I just got a VERY nice all-metal mauser replica for the holidays.

I'd love nothing more than to convert it to a DL-44

btw, I'm just looking to have a "generic" DL-44, so I'm not trying to go for any particular version. Just need the scope, scope rings and flash suppressor.

    Thanks!

they're both here on the boards, "Corellian Exports" (CE) goes by..........Corellian Exports. (how about that.) and Blast-tech goes by something like yodashouse, or something like that. You can also check out there web sites, though CE doesn't have much info about there parts on there site, so you may want to do a search here first.

    Here's links to their sites.

    http://www.blast-tech.com/home.asp

    http://members.aol.com/corellianexports/main.html

I have parts from both, and I love them all, though my CE parts are probably a little more accurate.

is this a metal airsoft? I bought on 4 weeks ago. But i get just a large mag. I also oder the Flash hider form Blas-TEC. They made extremly good parts for the Blaster. A friend of mine use a other good C96 Replica. It cost about
    44 EURO = $64 ...take a look

At first sight an inconspicuous, but admitted of weapon from that 2. World war. It likes star Wars fan and will recognize that from this weapon of the Han solo Blaster was built. Our replication is acquired gladly by amateur handicraftsmen, who want to create themselves its own Han solo Blaster. It consists of heavy Zamac in 1:1 originalgroesse. Carriages, cock, departure and goal mechanism can be moved. The replication is naturally not firingable, also schreckschuss cannot not be fired

The mauser in the link is a Denix, that's what a lot of us use. At least for our first blasters, then some folks move up to the really fancy stuff.

If you're going to costume with it, are on a budget, or don't care about accuracy the plastic airsoft's are very nice basses for any of these reasons. the metal stuff is very heavy and many say, they just can't handle costuming with them. If you want to save even more money, and weight, you can get resin conversion parts from "wakal" here on the boards. I haven't spoken with him in a wile, but he used to offer resin parts for a number of the different DL-44 blasters, for very good prices.

While not perfectly "correct", the Airsoft Mauser 712 varients make nifty blasters

I usually build 'em in ESB, since the scope mount is a lot easier to fit than the "two bolt" ANH or ROTJ. One bolt for the knob (into the side of the magazine well) and one set screw (hidden under the knob) to keep things from turning...that seems to hold up well. I like Yodashouse parts for the metal guns, too. Good products at a fair price.

For the twelve dollar plastic versions, some glue and resin parts work fine. I know a guy who can set up resin parts for ANH/Hero, ANH/GK, ESB, and ROTJ varients

At the risk of getting fragged, I had to drag this back up. I recently picked up an airsoft 712 (after searching amazon for 'C96', that came up, and without a view of the left side...well, I was a bit surpirsed when I got the thing and opened it up). The link here is now dead; anyone have suggestions for dealing with side details? And while I'm at it, anyone know if Wakal or anyone else is still producing resin conversion parts? Blastech is gorgeous, but overkill for a $10 metal replica.
