Please help a Yoda out!

Hey there.
I have a "life-size" Yoda that is made of foam rubber or something and he is starting to show his age. I just noticed that a wooden dowel or some kind of support rod is starting to poke through his head at the top.
Any thoughts or ideas on how to fix/repair this?
I have had his little fellow at least 15 years and I'd really like to keep him around, if possible.

I fixed an IC Yoda like that one a couple of years back by using bathroom sealant on the rotted bits and repainting him, it worked.

Also, do you know who made this? I got it at work as a prototype to show us what the company was capable of doing when they were applying for a license and I couldn't remember who they were! Illusive Concepts? Is that the IC?

Yes, that looks like an Illusive Concepts Yoda.

I fixed mine up from the outside - just smeared the sealant on there and sculpted it by eye to match the skin texture, left it to dry then repainted.

Markus advice is spot-on though - Tom is a master with restoration, he would be able to offer the best advice, I think.

The IC Yoda was made out of regular mask latex. I would get some slip latex and paint it in the ripped part buiding it up. Funny thing is regular latex shouldn't break down like that. I've seen masks over 30 years old that still look brand new. Was it exposed to something? what caused it?

Thanks for the advice! I think the piece breaking through may be supporting the weight of it and it just finally broke through the last time I moved it. It hasn't been exposed to sunlight or anything harsh that I can recall. Maybe one of my kids knocked him over?
This info will also be useful for a few latex appliances I have that are starting to get a little crispy around the edges, I appreciate it.
So, how do I reach Tom or get some "Slip Latex"? Or both?

Never saw a Yoda with brown hair. That must have been in his younger days, when he was 600 or something.

Try MONSTER MAKERS. They carry the mask latex. I can't remember if it comes in smaller quanties. You ever think of doing masks or rubber props? Cause you'll have alot left over.
